LSP Green themed Business Breakfast
Over 100 guests attended our Green themed LSP Business Breakfast held this morning at Backwell School. Headteacher, Jon Nunes, opened the breakfast and Gary Lewis, Chief Executive of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, gave an update on the Trust’s target to become carbon neutral by 2035.
It was insightful and highly topical to get an update on the future of energy and the economic benefit to the South West from Hinkley Point C, expertly delivered by Tim McCoy, Head of Communications at EDF.
Many thanks to our student speakers from Gordano, Backwell and Chew Valley Schools who did a fantastic job of presenting their eco-action plans.
